About Us
FLEET FEET Sports is part of the FLEET FEET national franchise group, the largest group of running specialty stores in the country. We have access to advice and products at all the other FLEET FEET stores and direct access to products from our vendors. Even if we don’t stock something, we may be able to get it for you through these contacts.
Our Staff
Our staff is composed of athletes of varying levels. We are all runners or walkers and are typically also involved in other sports, such as tennis, soccer, and cycling. If you’ve got a problem, chances are one of us has experienced it too. That way we may be able to offer some advice and refer you to the medical or related specialists that we think might help. Our Store
We’ve built the store especially for our customers and their families — big dressing rooms so your kids can join you, a toy box so that your kids can be entertained while you are making your decisions, and, of course, personal service — making suggestions on what might be best for you, lacing your shoes, helping you get them on, and checking the fit.
Students
We offer a 10% discount to all students (grade school through grad school) on regular price shoes. Additionally, we offer student-athletes who purchase running shoes and track or cross-country spikes at the same time an additional $5 discount.
Community Involvement
Each year we help sponsor local races and events with community organizations and the school systems. We also help sponsor local teams, such as the mens and women’s racing team for the Hartford Track Club and women’s soccer teams. You can find applications for many local events in the store.
Recognition
The store was featured in the February, 1999 issue of Runner's World as one of the few women-owned running businesses in the country. And Runner’s World invited us to write an article about buying running shoes for the women’s running section of their website. We’ve also been written up in most of the local newspapers, including the Hartford Courant.
Marketing Partner
We have partnered with Total Fitness, the premier provider of fitness equipment in the Hartford area. Fleet Feet Sports customers receive special discounts when they purchase equipment at any of the Total Fitness stores in the Hartford area.
