The seminar will cover:
- Recognizing the early onset of injury and illness
- Tips and Techniques to minimize the effects of injury and illness on your running
- How to use basic anatomy & physiology knowledge to minimize the effects of injury and illness, as well as how to initiate rehab on your own
- Figuring out what you can "run through" and when you should say, "Stop! Danger!"
- When to run when you're sick
Dr. Dauphinais brings experience from both his medical and athletic background:
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Medical School at University of Miami and Residency at Yale University
- MS in Sports Medicine
- Recently opened his own primary care practice: ProHealth of Farmington, near the UConn Health Center
- 3-Time All-American Triathlete, competed for Team USA at World Championships
- Co-Author of the first editions of The Book on Personal Training and The Book on Sports Nutrition
