Half-Marathon Training

This fall's half-marathon training program will target the ING Greater Hartford Half-Marathon on Saturday, October 9, 2010.  Training will begin in with a kick-off meeting on Wednesday, July 14 at 7:00pm with the first practice on Saturday, July 17 at 7:00am.

Are you contemplating the next level in your running journey?  Our Half-Marathon training program is perfect for runners who have completed a few 5ks or 10ks and want to run the full 13.1.

Dozens of Fleet Feet runners completed the Greater Hartford Half-Marathon this past October, and we anticipate even more in the Iron Horse Half this coming spring.

If anything is more exciting that completing your first Half-Marathon, it's completing it with a great team of friends!

 

With small coached groups, each runner receives the individual attention that he or she needs to succeed.

In addition to one distance run each week, many particpants also attend the Thursday Night Track Workout.

Weekly e-mails from the coaches provide a structured training plan for the rest of the week, as well as opportunities to meet up with other particpants for informal runs.
