Winter Training Programs: 5k & (new!) 5 Mile

Look at the faces of the folks pictured above. See how happy they are? These are our most recent No Boundaries 5k Training Program graduates who ran the Mitten Run on Sunday. For many, it was their first 5k. For others, like Caroline Bedard-Nower, it was the perfect way to celebrate her new healthy lifestyle, which included losing 85 pounds this year and running a 5 minute PR at the Mitten Run.
Make 2012 a year where you take that first step towards accomplishing the goals you've always wanted to achieve. You are never too old or too out-of-shape to learn to run and live fit. You just need to have the courage to sign-up and come to the first practice. We will do everything we can to make practice fun, teach you how to run with the proper form and introduce you to others just like you so you don't have to train alone.
This winter we are adding a 5 Mile Training Program to our two 5k No Boundaries Programs sponsored by New Balance (one is geared for those new to running, while the other is for those who have recently run a 5k and want to run faster - or can't resist the fun of running with a group). All programs will be offed twice a week - once on Saturday mornings at 9am from the store and on Monday evenings at 5pm downtown at Bushnell Park (choose one location).

Looking for a Half Marathon Training Program? Next one will start in mid-March and train for the Iron Horse Half Marathon in early June.
