Hartford Marathon Training Program

Looking to do the Hartford Marathon but need a little extra motivation? Fleet Feet has teamed up with the Hartford Marathon Foundation to offer two 16-week training programs for the ING Hartford Marathon, which will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013. Program begins June 22/23.
The cost of the program is $115 (does not include race fee.) Program includes a proven training plan, a technical t-shirt, coached weekend long runs (your choice of 6:30am on Saturday's in Glastonbury and 7:00am Sunday's in West Hartford), weekly fun runs and coached track workouts, discounts on shoes, apparel, accessories and nutrition at Fleet Feet, informative talks given by doctors and nutritionists, weekly emails from your certified coaches, a race day VIP tent, and a group of new friends to train with!
This program is open to first-time and repeat marathoners, but is not appropriate for the new runner who doesn't have a solid base of training since we will run 9 miles during our first practice. Pace groups will be available from 7-11 minute/mile paces (some groups will encourage a walk/run strategy). Runners will be placed in appropriate pace groups based on their recent race times.
Our first practice will be on the weekend of June 22/23 and continue for 16 weeks. If you cannot make your chosen group's long run, you may attend the other groups run (i.e. if you normally run with the Glastonbury Group on Saturday mornings but can't make one Saturday, you are welcome to run with the group in West Hartford on Sunday for that weekend).
